Sound familiar?

Your people are working hard.
The work is still getting stuck.

Delays and rework often reveal something deeper: competing priorities, unclear decisions, fragile handoffs, or a process that does not fit how people actually work.

We examine the workflow and the human dynamics together, then help your team agree on what needs to change.

Trust before tools.
Clarity before change.
  • The status is green. Progress is not.

Leadership needs a clear view of the blockers and the decisions required to move forward.

  • Every handoff creates more rework.

People need shared expectations, clear responsibilities, and usable business rules.

  • The same decision returns to every meeting.

Teams need to know who has authority, whose input matters, and when to escalate.

  • The new system is live. Old habits remain.

Adoption needs practical support, staff input, and workflows people can carry out.

Ways to work together

Start with the problem.
Leave with a practical next step.

The scope follows your situation: an initiative that has stalled, an operating process that needs attention, or a team working through change.

01 / Diagnose & design

The Bridge Engagement

Typically 6–12 weeks

A focused engagement to understand delivery friction, clarify ownership, and agree on a workable path forward.

Depending on the agreed scope:
  • A current-state workflow and friction assessment
  • A decision-rights and responsibility map
  • A revised intake or escalation process
  • A prioritized action plan with owners and next steps

02 / Implement & adopt

Implementation support

A defined follow-on engagement

Hands-on support to put the agreed changes into practice and help the team use them.

Support may include:
  • Facilitated working sessions and process pilots
  • Business rules, requirements, and working guides
  • Feedback sessions and adoption adjustments
  • A handoff plan and agreed measures of progress

03 / Sustain & advise

Fractional advisory

An agreed ongoing cadence

Experienced business analysis and process improvement support as priorities and operating needs evolve.

Support may include:
  • Decision preparation and leadership advice
  • Intake and prioritization reviews
  • Cross-functional facilitation
  • Process and adoption check-ins

Every engagement has an agreed scope, timeline, deliverables, and responsibilities. Implementation support and any ongoing advisory are scoped explicitly, with a clear handoff to the people who will own the work.

Selected experience

What progress can look like.

Examples from Mufaro’s healthcare and higher education work show the scale and type of problems she helps leaders address.

Healthcare / Intake & governance

Clearer intake for a complex portfolio.

About five days faster turnaround.

The setting
Clinical systems project intake at UCSF Health, with 400+ requests across an approximately $3M portfolio.
The contribution
Managed project intake and strengthened the intake and governance process, including business rules to support more consistent handling of requests.
The result
Reduced turnaround by about five days while supporting a substantial volume of incoming work.

Healthcare / Process improvement

Less delay in claims information.

Reporting lag reduced by approximately 14 days.

The setting
Healthcare claims reporting and pharmacy claims acquisition work at Kaiser Permanente.
The contribution
Business analysis and process improvement supporting the flow of claims information.
The result
Helped reduce reporting lag by approximately 14 days and pharmacy claims acquisition time by 3–4 days.

Higher education / Operational analysis

Finding opportunities to work more efficiently.

Approximately $150,000 in savings opportunities identified.

The setting
Operational excellence work at the University of California Office of the President.
The contribution
Operational analysis, including job analysis, to identify shared-services improvement opportunities.
The result
A quantified opportunity for savings to inform organizational decisions. This figure reflects identified opportunities.

Large enterprise / Cross-functional alignment

Making cyber testing requirements clear before launch.

The launch stayed on track.

The challenge
A business team approaching go-live did not understand the cyber testing requirements or the need for a locked-down test environment. The gap in understanding put the timeline at risk.
The work
Mufaro interviewed the cyber testing team to capture its business rules and the reasoning behind them, then translated those requirements into a plain-language FAQ and checklist.
The outcome
The business team understood what was needed and why. The testing function gained repeatable tools for setting expectations with future teams.

For established small & midsized businesses

Growing should not mean everything depends on you.

When the owner becomes the default decision-maker, handoffs break down, or employees work around a new system, the business needs a clearer way to operate.

We apply the same people-first approach to the workflows and decisions that matter in your business, with a scope suited to your team.

Discuss your business challenge
  • Too many decisions land on your desk.

Clarify what the team can decide and when your involvement is needed.

  • Work falls between people.

Map responsibilities and handoffs so customers and employees know what happens next.

  • You invested in a system people avoid.

Understand the obstacles and align the process with how the team works.

Before we talk

A few practical questions.

Do you work outside healthcare and higher education?

Yes. Those sectors anchor Mufaro’s experience, and Nyac Consulting also works with established businesses facing unclear responsibilities, inefficient processes, cross-functional friction, or change adoption challenges. We use the initial conversation to assess the fit.

What happens during the first conversation?

We discuss the work that is stuck, its impact on your organization, what you have tried, and the outcome you need. Together, we determine whether a focused assessment, implementation support, or another next step makes sense.

Will you help us implement the recommendations?

Implementation support can be included in the agreed scope or structured as a follow-on engagement. We define responsibilities, deliverables, progress measures, and handoff expectations before that work begins.

How is pricing determined?

Pricing reflects the agreed problem, scope, deliverables, and level of support. After understanding your needs, we clarify the proposed engagement and investment before you commit.
